Skills Development Fund
We are a South African-based Non-Profit (2015/272627/08) that provides support to youth that receives funded training opportunities.
With high unemployment and low employment prospects, many South Africans struggle to feed themselves and their family. We provide seta funded training opportunities like Learnerships for unemployed learners through accredited training partners and company-sponsored training initiatives. However, this alone does not guarantee success. Our focus at Prosherum is to identify learning opportunities, improve the selection process to improve the success rate and provide proper learner support and when required, tools of the trade.
Why Prosherum’s Impact is so meaningful in making differences in peoples life’s: One breadwinner feeds an extended family in Africa. By setting up our learners for success and equipping them with much more than a qualification we ensure that they contribute to the progress of themselves, their family, their community and their country.
How we help our communities
Identify funded learning opportunities
Being involved with many companies and organisations we are able to identify when seta funding is available to develop our youth.
Identifying and Selection
Youth that is interested in our accredited learning opportunities can apply and go through the selection process to ensure suitability for the right courses
Provide Learner Support
Although our training is accredited national qualifications we consider our learners not only as learners but as humans that need to navigate life’s challenges on a daily basis when they study. We provide counselling and soft skills training to set them up for success.
Post-training support
Although many learners are employed in the formal sector, the reality is that there are not nearly enough jobs. We aim to provide them with tools and support that can equip them to start their own business. This can be a sewing machine to a laptop.
How you can help us
Direct Funding
Ensuring that the right learners are placed in the right programs with support and setting them up for success takes considerable financial resources. Any amount would however help to make sure that you can make a positive impact in one person’s life
Funding of tools
Many of our learners that have completed their training seek full-time employment. We try our best to help them. Some want to create their own business and we need to support them by providing them with i.e sewing machines, computers etc.

Non-profits can benefit from our services and we can form strategic partnerships with them to use training & development to bring real improvement to their beneficiaries. We operate all over South Africa in rural and urban areas.
